VD III: Recording sessions done!

Hi folks,

We know it’s been a while since we wrote here, so here’s a small update on our work lately.

We just finished three weeks of recording sessions at studio Pyramide where Bikinians, Driving Dead Girl, Baloji, Joshua, Romano Nervoso and even… Sandra Kim recorded stuff. And it already sounds huge! We took the best out of the 50+ songs we demoed and recorded 10, mostly in live conditions. We won’t unveil much at this point but you may already know that it really sounds and feels really human and organic. No one has ever managed to capture the band groove and energy as well as Christine Verschorren that even added a mystical dimension to it.

You might already know her as she’s been working on lots of great projects such as Ghinzu, Hollywood Porn Stars, Absynthe Minded, Das Pop, Montevideo, Toots Thielemans, Philip Catherine… and even a Backstreet Boys single as well as the mix for Rundskop, the amazing Michaël R. Roskam movie with Matthias Schoenaerts.

You might also notice a few new band members on the picture above: we’re pretty glad to introduce you to our new keyboardist, Gladys, and our new bassist, Fabrice Giacinto who both did an amazing job on the record.

Dandy Animals: we got the CDs!

Look at what just arrived! We got our hands on the definitive version of our second album – which will get officially released on September 12th via VVEGA Records/PIAS. Please make sure to get your own copy!

The album will be available in advance on our next show at Autumn Rock Festival in Braine-le-Comte, who will take place on September 10th.

New “Devil in Me” videoclip!

Hey everybody!

We just finished our brand new and homemade videoclip (just like we did at the very beginning!) for Devil in Me! We had loads of fun shooting it, hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did.

It has been shot by our friend Emilie Sornasse, our techs Eric Blommaert and Maximilien Vandeville took care of the lights, a bunch of friends helped us and threw stuff at us, and our very keyboardman Tony Bambinelli edited the whole thing.
